WordPress website redesign services built to be SEO-safe: outdated or broken sites rebuilt on WordPress with everything Google relies on carried across. URLs kept or redirected, titles, meta, schema and tracking intact, and Search Console checked after launch. Moving from Wix or Squarespace works the same way.

What you get

How an SEO-safe redesign works.

  1. 01

    An audit of what ranks

Your current pages, traffic and rankings mapped first, so nothing that earns visitors gets lost.

  2. 02

    URLs kept or redirected

Existing URLs kept where possible, and a 301 redirect for every one that changes.

  3. 03

    SEO carried across

Titles, meta descriptions and schema markup moved to the new site, page by page.

  4. 04

    Content and tracking

Content migrated and analytics and tracking set up again, so your reports don’t break.

  5. 05

    A new design that converts

A hand-coded custom theme, or a clean Elementor, Divi or WPBakery build your team can edit safely.

  6. 06

    Checked after launch

Search Console monitored after go-live, with any crawl errors fixed quickly.

WordPress migration

Moving from Wix or Squarespace to WordPress.

A platform move is a redesign with extra care: the old site’s URLs change, so every page needs a redirect and its titles and meta carried across. Done that way, you get a faster site you own, without starting your rankings from zero.

  • Pages, posts and images moved across
  • 301 redirects from every old Wix or Squarespace URL
  • Titles, meta descriptions and schema rebuilt page by page
  • Forms, analytics and tracking reconnected
How it works

Strategy first, code second.

Each stage is signed off before the next one starts, so there are no surprises at launch.

  1. Week 101

    Strategy

Your goals, your audience, and the one action each page has to drive.

  2. Week 1–202

    Wireframe

Structure and content hierarchy, agreed before a single colour is chosen.

  3. Week 2–403

    Build

A hand-coded custom theme, or a clean Elementor, Divi or WPBakery build, set up so your team can edit content safely.

  4. Launch04

    Live

Core Web Vitals, technical SEO and accessibility checked before go-live.

Questions

Common questions.

How much does it cost to redesign a WordPress website?

A business website typically takes 2–3 weeks and costs NZD $1,200–$2,500; a custom theme takes 3–6 weeks and costs NZD $2,500–$6,000. You get a fixed, itemised quote first.

Will a redesign affect my Google rankings?

Not if it’s migrated carefully. I keep your URLs or redirect them, carry across titles, meta and schema, and check Search Console after launch.

Can AI redesign my existing website?

AI tools can suggest layouts and draft copy, but they don’t map your old URLs to new ones, carry across your meta and schema, or check Search Console after launch. Those steps are what protect your rankings, so a redesign still needs a person to plan and check them.

Can you move my site from Wix or Squarespace to WordPress?

Yes. Pages, posts and images move across, every old URL gets a 301 redirect, and titles, meta and tracking are set up again so you don’t start your rankings from zero.

Custom theme or page builder?

Both are options. For speed-critical and high-traffic sites I hand-code a custom theme. If your team wants to edit layouts visually, I build on Elementor, Divi or WPBakery and set it up so pages stay lean and fast.
